Walther P38, First Issue Zero Series, Original, Matching Mag
Extremely scarce Walther P38, First Issue Zero Series with Concealed Extractor, original finish, all matching with matching magazine. SN: 0199. Cal. 9mmP. Standard configuration First Issue Zero Series P38 with 4” barrel, drift adjustable front sight and fixed rear sight. Usual single line address on the left side of concealed extractor slide. Safety positions marked with a white highlighted “S” and a red highlighted “F”. The right side of slide with the usual three acceptances, two of which were applied after bluing. The full serial number is repeated on the left side of the frame, under the barrel, on the locking block, on each of the Waffenamt marked bakelite grips, and on the left side of the magazine. Virtually every small part is marked with the Eagle/359 Walther acceptance including the bottom of the magazine spine. Condition: Approximately 95-96% bright original blue with expected holster wear and thinning of the front strap as one might expect from a pistol that saw service use throughout most of WWII. Crisp original grips with sharp checkering, negligible losses. Same general condition applies to the magazine. Bright bore with strong rifling. Perfect manual mechanics. The survival rate of First Issue Zero Series pistols is very low. Although matching examples are occasionally encountered, they almost never have a matching magazine. This is a rare opportunity to own one of the most desirable military P38s, a low SN and fully matched, including the magazine, in absolutely original condition. A HISTORIC INVESTMENT!
