Unique Vest Pistol, Made in Spain. #A-1112
Although the Unique trade name is usually associated with French production, a small quantity of pistols were made in Spain. This example is of typical Eibar design, made to vest pocket dimensions, with striking, logoed grips. SN: 39001. Cal: 6.35mm. Standard vest pocket pistol with 2” barrel and slide channel serving as sighting groove. Left side of slide marked “AUTOMATIC PISTOL CAL 6.35/MADE IN SPAIN”. The left midframe is marked with the S/F safety detents. Proofing triad coded “A” for 1927 is on the left tang with the early automatic pistol proof repeated on the left side of slide and exposed barrel hood. Full serial number on right frame. Checkered grips molded with the “Unique” name and lion logo each secured with a single screw. Butt magazine release. Magazine nickeled with five indicator holes and pinned unmarked base. Condition: Very good with moderate wear as might be expected from a carry gun. Bright bore with shallow rifling. Perfect manual mechanics. Relatively very few Spanish pistols were made with this trademark. A HISTORIC INVESTMENT! #A-1112.
