SN: S103980. Cal: 9mm Police. Standard configuration SIG Sauer P230, modeled after the Mauser HSc, with fixed front sight and drift adjustable rear sight, each with white highlights. Left side of slide marked with the Chaux-de-Fond logo, “SIG SAUER” followed by “9mm Police” (which is NOT interchangeable with .380 ACP). The right side of the slide is marked with the model “P230” along with its German origin and the full serial number. Molded checkered grips. Complete with primary (high polish) and two spare (matte finish) magazines in dark brown De Santis-marked magazine pouch. Sold in a red SIG P230 box (grey foam removed) that includes original instruction booklet, original numbered test target dated 4.8.76 (Aug 4, 1976), and a copy of a Police Department letter from 1985 detailing this pistol as one of 46 purchased by the department. Condition: VG-EXC condition with sharp edge wear and scuffing, especially around the muzzle, as one might expect from field use. Comparable condition magazine pouch with spare magazines showing very little wear. Near excellent test target and instruction booklet. Bright bore with sharp rifling and perfect manual mechanics. A very scarce, well documented police marked P230, seldom encountered outside Switzerland in the 9mm Police caliber, with shipping box, original test target and spare magazines. A HISTORIC INVESTMENT!   #A-1077
