Rare Webley & Scott Model 1910 .38 ACP Semi-Automatic Pistol
Webley & Scott Model 1910 .38 ACP without grip safety. SN: 66403. Cal: .38ACP. One of fewer than 400 W&S pistols made in this configuration. Standard 5” barrel with fixed front sight and screw fixated, windage adjustable rear sight. Designed for top ejection with safety lever mounted on left frame. Left side of slide marked with the winged bullet/W&S logo followed by the usual three line address stipulating the caliber. “SAFE” marked above safety lever. Full serial number on left tang. British proof marks over chamber, adjacent slide and on right tang. Fitted with hard rubber panels finely checkered around central diamond with border. Lanyard ring mounted to left base. Nickeled magazine drilled with seven indicator holes. This gun falls into a serial number range (66401-66664) of 264 pistols manufactured in December 1911. Condition: At least 90% bright original bluing with sharp edge wear in expected locations and spotting on grip straps. Nickeled small parts in comparable condition. Truly excellent grips without cracks or discernible losses which is very unusual for this pistol. Bright bore with strong rifling. Perfect manual mechanics. One of the most difficult to find large frame Webley pistols, particularly in this condition. A HISTORIC INVESTMENT! Inv# A944.
