SN 1635. Cal. 7.63mm. Borchardt with 7-1/2″ barrel having a fixed front sight and V notch rear sight. Unmarked chamber. Middle toggle link marked “D.R.P./No 75837”. Usual Crown/BUG proofing on the left side of the barrel, left side of the receiver, left side of the middle toggle link and on either side of the breechblock. The right side of the receiver is marked “SYSTEM BORCHARDT. PATENT./DEUTSCHE WAFFEN-UND MUNITIONSFABRIKEN./BERLIN”. The trigger, stock lug, and base of frame are all numbered “1635” as is the magazine, shoulder stock and cheek piece. Major components are rust blued. Strawed sear and toggle lock . Gray, case hardened safety. The trigger, receiver ears, and grip screws are fire blued. Crisp checkered walnut grips with a prominent border. Nickel plated magazine with smooth wood base. Original, European, walnut stock with rust blued lug. Lower border of stock retailer marked “GESETZLICH GESCHUTZT.” Fire blued small parts and screws with cheek piece having a brass release knob. Complete with original black leather holster and retaining straps. Condition: VG-EXC original rust blue with sharp edge wear and fading as one might expect from moderate but careful use. Superb matching magazine. Mirror bright bore. Perfect manual mechanics. Excellent matching stock and cheek piece, retaining virtually all original varnish, with scattered handling marks. Original leather shows considerable crazing, particularly the holster. A very nice, all original DWM Borchardt with matching magazine, stock and cheek piece, retailer marked, that would enhance any collection. ANTIQUE.  A HISTORIC INVESTMENT!
