Roth Steyr, 1907, Budapest, Holster.
Early production M1907 Roth Steyr made in Budapest, dated 1913 with crisp original belt holster. SN: 27700. Cal. 8mm Steyr. Standard configuration Roth Steyr with 5.25” barrel, drift adjustable front sight (staked) and fixed rear sight. Top of the receiver is marked “FEGYUERGYAR BUDAPEST”. The rear of the frame, under the cocking knob, is Austrian proofed “W-n/Eagle/13” reflecting proofing in 1913. The serial number 27700 is on the right frame. Major parts are rust blued and include the nose cap and cocking knob. The body of the bolt is in-the-white and the trigger is grey case hardened. The forward wedge under the sight, extractor and disconnector (visible on the right frame) are strawed. Fitted with serrated grips secured with a single screw with the right panel having a blank disc. Complete with original brown holster with provision for spare stripper clips and single belt loop on obverse surface marked with the names of two previous owners. Inner flap dated 1912 with very crisp and original inked markings. Condition: Approximately 90-95% original rust blue with holster wear in expected places and slight thinning of the grip straps. Comparable condition strawed parts and uniform patina of the disc in the right panel. Near-mirror bore and perfect manual mechanics. Excellent condition holster with no suggestion of touchup. A few stitches attaching the back surface are missing. An impressive rig from WWI. A HISTORIC INVESTMENT! #A 912
