Belgium made, licensed copy of a Dean Adams & Deane .34 caliber revolver in retailer case with accessories. SN: NSN. 1851 configuration Dean Adams revolver with 4.5” octagonal barrel having post front sight and fixed rear sight. Barrel address extending over top strap reads “ Manuf. By C. Dandoy Liege Licensed by Dean Adams & Deane, London”. Left side of frame marked Adams/1851/Patent. Right side of frame marked ADAMS’S PATENT No.4174. Small areas of delicate scroll highlighting the rear of barrel, sides of frame and trigger guard. Major parts with bright high polish blue. Case hardened color cylinder. Finely checkered single piece grip with generous lower border and elaborately scalloped grip cap. Fitted in period oak presentation case, French fitted, lined with forest green velvet, with brass corner reinforcements and lid plaque. Accessories include blued machined bullet seater, wad punch, dual cavity bullet mold, small leather powder flask, rosewood handle nipple wrench, rosewood handle screwdriver, unmarked varnish tin of caps, etc. In a triangular compartment is a small group of oxidized bullets. Condition: G-VG by Antique Standards with fading and etching throughout as seen on the images. Several areas of cleaned pitting on barrel especially on the right side near muzzle. Most of the case color from the cylinder has faded. Surprisingly nice grips and butt cap. Dark bore with only traces of rifling and a slight ring 7/8” from muzzle, not noticeable on exterior. Case and accessories in comparable condition. A cased copy of an 1851 Dean Adams & Deane revolver with accessories for a reasonable price. A HISTORIC INVESTMENT!
