British MK VI, Cutaway
Classic British MK VI service revolver, cutaway for training purpose, likely at armory level. SN: 428800. Cal: 455 Webley. Standard configuration MK VI Revolver, made 1918, with 6" barrel, fixed front and rear sights. Usual spur hammer. Major components are matching including the barrel, frame and original unshaved cylinder. Checkered hard rubber grips. Base of frame with rotatable lanyard ring. The left side of barrel, cylinder, both sides of the frame and grips have been cutaway to allow optimal viewing of the interdigitating parts. CONDITION: Near excellent, still with considerable old grease and grunge as often seen with long term storage, with sharp edge wear as one might expect from light use and demonstration handling. Near mirror bore. Perfect manual mechanics. A very unusual and well done cutaway, seldom encountered, especially with an unshaved cylinder, that would enhance any collection of British Military small arms. A HISTORIC INVESTMENT!
