SN 4014. Cal. .455. Scarce Webley Fosbery M1903 Target model, blued, with small cylinder & frame, checkered trigger, with usual self-cocking mechanism/zig-zag cylinder, having a 7-3/8″ barrel, with a screwed-in front sight (marked 20 yards) and drift adjustable rear sight blade. Levered top break release. Barrel rib marked “P. WEBLEY & SON. LONDON & BIRMINGHAM.” Left side of top strap is marked “WEBLEY FOSBERY”; left side of frame has the Webley flying bullet logo followed by “.455 CORDITE”. Matching SN “014” that is repeated on barrel lug and on back of cylinder. Crown/BP & Crown/BV proofing on cylinder and barrel. On the left side of the frame is a thumb lever that, when engaged in the “up” position, exposes a small brass grip-inserted plaque marked “SAFE”. At the base of the frame is a rotatable lanyard ring. Fitted with checkered 2-pc walnut grips. CONDITION: Approximately 97% bright original blue, slight fading of the back strap. VG-EX grips with original finish and brass insert. Bright, near mirror bore. Perfect manual mechanics. A beautiful and all original example of one of the scarcer Webley Fosbery variations, seldom offered for sale.  A HISTORIC INVESTMENT!
