Astra M900, Broomhandle, Chinese, Beautiful!
Ultra desirable Astra M900, one of approximately 1000 pistols marked with Chinese characters that translate “Made in Spain”, made in 1933. SN: 27566. Cal. 7.63mm. Standard 5.5” barrel with fixed front sight and 50/1000 slip-in, graduated rear sight. Sideplate marked with usual 3 line address denoting patent date July 12, 1928 along with three Chinese characters. Full serial number on left frame immediately over grip. Eibar proofing triad on right frame containing year code “F” denoting proofing in 1933. The encircled “P” automatic pistol proof is repeated on the right side of the barrel and barrel extension. Fire blued extractor, bolt stop, safety, trigger, appropriate rear sight components and grip screw. Original wood grips with crisp serrations and lanyard ring. Extensive disassembly shows all matching parts except for the primary cross bolt that is number “873”. CONDITION: 98+% bright original blue with minimal wear at tips of rails, leading edge of floorplate and a small scuff under the trigger guard. All highlighted in images. Comparable condition small parts, all with bright original fire blue. Excellent grips with light scattered handling marks, mirror bore, perfect manual mechanics. NO IMPORT MARKINGS! A beautiful Astra M900 that should delight any collector of early automatic pistols or Broomhandles. Just look at the jeweling inside the sideplate and frame! A HISTORIC INVESTMENT!
