ALBION (ENFIELD) No. 2 MK I* Service Revolver, all matching, with black painted enamel finish. SN: A2480. Cal. 38 (38 S&W). Enfield pattern No2 MK I* revolver manufactured by Albion w/ 5"barrel marked "CAL. 38" along with “41 / Broad arrow / British proof” on top of rib. Right side of barrel has British proofs. Under the barrel is “ENGLAND” along with “GSAD CA” import marks. Manufacturer markings, dated 1942, very faintly seen on right side of frame under paint. Grooved wood grips with recesses at top and yellow rack number "17" on bottom. Lanyard ring at butt. Dull black enamel finish and spurless hammer. CONDITION: VG as applies to the black painted finish that shows sharp edge wear and scattered scuffs as one might expect from a service weapon that saw moderate use. Mirror bright bore. Perfect manual mechanics. One of the more unusual No 2 MK I* revolvers, a nice find for the WWII British Military collector. A HISTORIC INVESTMENT! #A-974
